WHAT IS AN AUTOMATED OR MECHANICAL TRADING SYSTEM?
An automated or Mechanical trading system excludes the influences of emotion which tends to hinder the performance of many traders and investors.  Human emotion is one of the most complex and hard to control areas of trading. No trader or investor has ever been able to be successful in the market with out first learning how to control their emotion.  These systems are fully automated and mechanical.

These systems are therefore designed to have a distinct set of rules which instruct the system what should be done and when to do it ( entry and exit timing).

Since the rules are clearly defined by the developer it makes back testing extremely important.  The back testing is what will give the developer the confidence to begin trading in the market in real time. Backtesting should be done on any system prior to committing any capital to a live market. Backtesting will provide an indication of the system's profitability, sustainability and highlight the characteristics of the system to illustrate how it will behave in real time market situations.

When performed correctly, backtesting is the closest we can get to determine the sustainability of a system without actually risking any money. This is a great way to gain confidence in your system before risking your hard earned money. The absolute best way is to view trading records of it in the live market place from the firm it is being traded through. Results are usually posted daily. These are true and as accurate as your going to get.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE E MINI 500?
Introduced in 1997 the E-Mini S&P 500 futures contract is the most liquid and one of the largest stock index future in the world which means you have superb volatility, and tremendous leverage. This makes the E Mini's one of the most popular markets these days, and that's not without a reason: The index is based on leading companies across major industries in the US. It can be traded both day and night. The smallest price increment is .25 index points or $12.50, so for every 1 point move up or down it is worth $50.00.

HOW OFTEN DOES THE SYSTEM TRADE AND AM I REQUIRED TO DO ANYTHING?
The system decides when a trade opportunity presents itself. The average number of trades per month will be different for every system and market. The purpose of an automated trading system is to leave the human element and emotion out of it. You do absolutely nothing except monitor your account at your conveniences.

I'VE TRADED SYSTEMS BEFORE AND THEY NEVER WORK
That’s hardly surprising, given that the majority of the systems that are out there only show you results based on hypothetical trading not actual performance data. The results on our systems are real trades done in real accounts using real money which equates to a real return.

Since we solely provide the trading systems to help individuals competing against institutions in today's markets there is no need for HTTG LLC to be registered.

CAN I USE YOUR SOFTWARE AT HOME?
The system is fully automated which means no individual interaction. One of the main reasons for the success of this system is just that. There is no inter face with humans and their emotions. You do have an online account which allows you to follow any activity in your account.

CAN I USE ANY BROKERAGE FIRM ?
You need to go through a clearing firm who has the access to the system. One of the largest and most well respected financial institutions in the world will be handling your account. We are confident in their ability to provide you with the highest level of service possible.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE TRADING EACH OF YOUR SYSTEMS ?
The # of individuals using each system varies depending on the liquidity of what it trades. The OIL & GAS TRADING SYSTEM will have less then 100 users, while the S&P will have less than 200.

DO YOU USE TRAILING STOPS ?
Yes, a trailing stop is used to lock in a profit when the market begins to turn. On many occasions after a trailing stop is hit the system will then execute a new trade riding the momentum that caused the trailing stop to be executed. Example. We were long S&P and as price came down our trailing stop was hit. Then the system may immediately execute a short trade on the S&P to ride momentum down.

DOES YOUR SYSTEM TARGET A SPECIFIC PROFIT AMOUNT ?
Not at all, the system decides when it's time to take a profit which allows us more opportunity to take advantage of the large swings in these volatile markets. In fact the more volatility the more movement the system is able to take advantage of.

Why should I trade a system?

Trading the futures and equity markets using a trading system provides the discipline to overcome the fear and greed that in many cases paralyzes a trader and prevent making timely decisions. Each order placed is governed by a pre-determined set of rules that does not deviate based on anything other than market action.

How do I know if the system is any good?

One of the key elements of a trading system is the ability to be back-test for hypothetical performance using quantifiable data. Recognizing that hypothetical results have not been market-tested and that they are usually provided by the system vendor who is in the business of selling trading systems, the trader can obtain some idea as to the trading systems characteristics. However, the only true test of a system is to see how it performs in actual trading where market slippage and trading cost are a part of the record. As a result, there can be a significant difference between hypothetical and actual results and neither is any guarantee of future trading results.

How much money do I need?
The minimum deposit to open a futures trading account varies by the broker. In addition, the prospective trader should only consider opening a futures account when the trader has sufficient risk capital.

What are the Risks?
Any one system may be subject to market specific, system specific, or complex specific risk ranging from $500 to $5 million. By trading multiple systems across different markets, one may reduce market specific and complex specific risk. By trading systems with different entry and exit strategies, the trader may reduce system specific risk. However, the risk of trading can be substantial and each investor and/or trader must consider whether this is a suitable investment. Past performance, whether actual or indicated by simulated tests of strategies, is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Is system trading a valid approach to trading futures?
We feel certain that it is, and that it is reasonably safe to say that most professional traders will trade using a system of some sort in trading the futures markets. A system in this regard can be any strategy ranging from simple entry and exit criteria, money management rules, the use of stop losses to protect positions or lock in profits, to the more complex use of technical indicators and mathematical formulae. A system provides a consistent and logical approach to trading. Whether simple or complex, a trading system is usually most effective when implemented consistently. One problem frequently encountered by individual traders is the difficulty in following a system, whether their own or a professional developer's. Sticking to a system requires discipline, and discipline is often difficult to maintain in the heat of live market action, where emotions can rule the day, and a trader may be tempted to second-guess his or her system.
